Galway Bay

Fanore Beach is where golden sand overlays the lilac limestone pavements of The Burren as it shelves into the sea, waves a mile long breaking continuously along their length with a metronomic regularity.
Sloping up from low cliffs fronting Galway Bay looms Black Head, standing above the layered and fissured limestone pavements of The Burren, where miles of timeless dry stone walls divide a lunar landscape into an irregular geometry.
